August 9th – 19th: Evening water aerobics *see details below
Saturday, August 14th: Campground decorating contest. This year’s theme: FOOTBALL! (The Green Bay Packer’s play the Cleveland Browns at 7 p.m. that day.) Decorate your campers/campsite – prizes awarded for best & most original designs. Punt, pass & kick contest at 1 p.m. Tailgate party at the end of the day. Bring your own food & drinks. Game time is 7 p.m. Large screen to watch the game.
Saturday, Sept. 4th: Chicken BBQ 6 p.m. at the clubhouse, catered by “Famous Dave’s”, Tickets on sale now thru 8/31. Only $12 each. (meal includes: ½ chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, and a corn muffin). Patio dance 7 to 10 p.m. FIREWORKS at dusk!!! (Rain date for fireworks only is Sunday 9/5, meal & music will go on as scheduled, despite the weather.)

DUTCH HOLLOW POOL SUMMER WATER AEROBICS SCHEDULE 2010
EVENING CLASS:
-There will be ONLY one session of evening classes, which will be held four nights per week for a two-week period in August (a total of 8 one-hour classes).
-Evening classes will be held Monday through Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
-The cost for the evening session of classes is $20 for members and $35 for non-members.
-The evening session begins on August 9th and ends August 19th, 2010. Sign up and prepay by August 2, 2010 for this class.
-At least eight (paid) participants are required to hold a class.
(You may bring a friend or drop-in on a casual one-time basis for $5 per session on any of the regularly scheduled classes. Drop-ins or one-time participants do not count toward the minimum requirement of 8 people to schedule a class, though. Once scheduled, classes will be held if there are fewer than 8 people in attendance, we just need at least 8 people to pay to cover the cost of the instructor.)
TRAIL RIDES At Dutch Hollow Lake
We are pleased to announce that weekend horseback rides on Dutch Hollow Lake trails will again be offered this summer. The ride will take approximately 2 1/2 hours to complete. For your convenience, and the convenience of the service provider, rides are scheduled by appointment only. Simply call at least 24 hours in advance to make your reservation. Rides will not be scheduled for less than two riders, or more than four riders on a single ride. Riders must be 16 or older.
$50 per rider for 2 1/2 hour ride. Call Amy at 608-393-0871 and reference trail rides at Dutch Hollow Lake.
All rides begin at the upper level clubhouse parking lot, above the beach.
Rides can be scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays, beginning Memorial Day weekend, and possible other days. Contact Amy at the number listed above if you have questions or special requests.
The Association does not schedule rides; the service is independently owned and operated.
SEARCH FOR JAKE – THE WILD TURKEY LIFE SIZE DECOY
FIND THE HIDDEN JAKE (TURKEY DECOY). JAKE has been hidden at a public location within the boundaries of Dutch Hollow. Find JAKE and return him to the Dutch Hollow Property Association office to claim the prize. Simply follow the Rules below and have fun looking for the Turkey decoy.
RULES:
The contest is open to all DHLPO and registered guests.
DHLPOA employees are not eligible to participate.
The Turkey is not hidden on Private Property.
The Turkey will be placed in a specific area within Dutch Hollow, i.e. greenways, hiking trails or any other place accessible to members and registered guests – not on Private Property.
Clues to find Turkey will be posted once a week on the bulletin board in the Dutch Treat and on the Campground Shower House bulletin board.
Deadline to claim the prizes for finding the Jake Turkey Decoy is Labor Day, Sept. 6, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.
